Textile Design
As a scientist, consultant and author, PD Dr. Monika
Kritzmöller analyses phenomena of life style and everyday culture. Her main
topics are fashion, textile and the body as well as architecture and
environmental design. With an interdisciplinary approach, she combines science
and practice, social sciences and economics: In her institution of research and
consulting “Trends + Positionen” she implements her insights into the practise
of companies and organisations. Additionally, she teaches sociology at the
University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).
Born in 1968 in the south of Germany, she lives at St.
Gallen since 2010. In her activities of research she follows her deep passion
for textile and fashion – sectors which are still present in this metropolis in
the east of Switzerland. Thus, she published her monograph “Lock-Stoffe – St.
Gallen als Textil und Jugendstil-Stadt” in the same year.
Academic Background
